A few days ago I was sitting in the same room as my colleague, A who was teaching a student behind me. They started talking about Good Friday and my colleague mentioned about how Jesus will resurrect three days later. Due to her not so correct pronunciation of resurrection, the student started laughing and repeating after her. Despite being embarrassed, she took the ridicule very well and laughed together with the student.
The moral of the story: We often forget that it is perfectly fine to make mistakes. There is nothing shameful about not being able to read every word in the Oxford Dictionary, nor do you have to feel ashamed about failing exams, making blunders or bad choices. We all learn from mistakes and the next time you feel humiliated being laughed at, laugh. When things don’t go your way, laugh. Tell yourself someday you’ll laugh at this, so why not laugh now.

Reminds me of a saying “Instead of being laughed at, laugh with them”.
