As all of you may know, I am currently still having my reservice in the Navy. In fact, I am just back from a offshore deployment. Last week, I had the chance to visit our Singapore Navy’s latest addition, the Frigate! We had a ship visit on RSS Steadfast and was brought on a guided tour by one of the ship’s Chief Task.
One thing I learned from this visit.
Pride. Only the best can work as a crew on the Frigates. And I could feel the pride of the Chief Task of RSS Steadfast when he introduced us the ship’s technology and how the navys of other countries almost dropped their jaws when they knew that only 71 men operates on the frigate! (FYI, usually the size of a frigate crew is around 120 and above).
From the way the crew talks and work, I can really feel dedication and pride. There’s no okay, only giving the best, because they know they are the best in RSN (Republic of Singapore Navy).
Reflection: Do you take pride in your work? IS that the best that you can do? If it is okay, you are not proud of your work and there is no pride because you have not given your best. Start having pride in our work today!
