More than just a job

Honestly, never have I thought that I will end up in the education industry.
Ever since young, I have been telling myself that I will NEVER become a teacher.
Probably I don’t want to be terrorized by the kids like what we have done to our teacher as a student.

Somehow, I started to tutor kids on a part-time basis as I’m studying.

Somehow I stumbled upon Advocators and here I am.
Teaching as a career.

I never did regret making this decision.

It is indeed an amazing process to “grow” with the students.
From the first day u met the student till he joins ur coaching.
From a fail to a pass to an A.
As you see him getting more positive, opening up to you…
As you notice the change in him as he grows up.
The change in personality, going through the rebellious stage, maturing.
Till he graduates and return to visit you as a different person.

The most beautiful part is if he is also taking up teaching.

Its almost like every child that comes to you is like your baby especially if he stays long enough with you.
The opportunity to be able to walk this journey with so many students is indeed a blessing.
This is something that not everyone is given a chance to experience.  =)

Yupz, agreed. This is in fact, one of the few platforms that I know, that one can make a direct impact and difference to not only others, but ourselves.
