Loving myself and embrace the imperfections in me

Seen the recent advertisement on the Indian lady who gave a beautiful eulogy at her late husband’s funeral? That struck a thought:

“Little imperfections that are perfect for you….Beautifully imperfect.”

I often ask people around me “What are 3 things you love about yourself?” and yes, I mean L-O-V-E. I am not surprised that often, one finds it hard to even come out with one.
Yet, it’s often true how we love to list the imperfections in ourselves, from straight/curly hair to knobby knees, from our high pitch voice to our inability to play a good game at any sports. “If only I have…., if only I can….”

I guess we never realize that it’s the “imperfections” that make us unique, and it’s the “imperfections” that bring about different lessons that we learn from and it is the same “imperfections” that provide opportunities to grow.

So today, instead of listing the things that are “imperfect” in our lives, let’s take some time to celebrate 3 things we love about ourselves. and I mean LOVE! It can be anything! You pick :)

1.
2.
3.

If we’re all the same, and the lessons to be learnt the very same, wouldn’t life be boring? At the end of the day, we’re perfect in our imperfections. So, start embracing them and continue the wonderful journey that life has to offer.
