i win it all…
yesterday i was talking to a parent and her child. Even a blind can tell that her child is pampered..
As usual, i proceed on with my favourite part of the session. OBSERVE!
From the way the child carried himself, he was the king. I was thinking at the back of my mmind, how can i win him over?
How can i make him realise the importance of being serious at times?
I decided to use my favourite part between knowing and doing.
Many people know what to do,
Few do what they know..
Through a real-life example, i demostrated the NEED to do what he knows.
And through showing him the true fact that change is inevitable and definitely uncomfortable, i requested him to serve his mum a cup of tea when he’s back home. Sure enough, he relented. He started to do his favourite thing. “procrastinate” It took me more than 15mins to get him back to reality that i am not someone who goes soft-hearted if they “plead”. In the end, he accepted the fact that he got to do it no matter what, cause i will haunt him until he does it.
I have a great day sharing the differences between doing and knowing. And the more i share, the more i need to DO it myself. To me, this is a route of no return. And i know it will be for the better.
:)
