Yesterday I was watching this HK drama series.
There was a scene that goes like this…
There is a group of students attending an Investment workshop learning how to make money from shares.
The first thing that Trainer did even before he starts his class is to point out a student in the class and ask “Are you greedy?”
Of course the student gave a socially desirable answer ” No, I’m not.”
The Trainer replies “If that’s the case, you can get out of the class now”
The student was shocked.
The Trainer continued “If you are not greedy, there will be no force to motivate you and push you on. If that’s the case, how can I help you”
==> If you are not greedy for money, how can I help you earn more money?
If you are not greedy for money, why are you here today?
Now why am I sharing this with you?
At Advocators, we have always been advocating the A1 Mindset.
The rational is exactly the same as what the Trainer in the show is driving at.
If you do not have the desire to excel in your studies, you just want to settle for a B3, B4 or even lower,
We cannot help you.
We can’t take you in.
Simple because there is nothing to push you on.
No matter how good & effective our study strategies are, if you are content with whatever grades you are achieving right now, you’ll not pick up what’s install for you and go that extra mile to improve your grade.
I used to think that the higher you place your hope, the more disappointed you’ll be if you cannot achieve it.
I have changed my perspective and realized that if your desire for something is so strong, you will consciously and sub-consciously work towards the goal (almost like you are on auto-pilot mode) and eventually you’ll get what you want. =)
Let’s work towards the A1 in our lives! ! !
