this post wld just be some side sharing on a topic my group & i just presented in a seminar ystdy at sch. the module was Gender Psychology, & our group chose to research on the issues of Mail Order Brides or Foreign Brides, to examine the power differential between both sexes.

i will not share my whole presentation content as it was 45 mins long, but i wld jus like to point out the objectifying and treatment of the woman as a commodity, as the ‘middle man’ mentioned he could “refund back your money”.
born in a more privileged society and position, we typically get to choose our life partners as well as not get stigmatized for being a single woman.
love yourself, love those around you, count your blessings.
be thankful that you’ve already found someone, or be thankful that you’re still swinging single with pride, waiting for your dream man to take you on a romantic date, rather than waiting passively to be picked out from a catalogue.
