People who are around me probably realised that I am on this crazy goal to get my “six packs”. They see me chomping on home-made salad and meals (yes, specifically weighed out for grammage to +/-0.1gm) and investing an hour to exercise every day. Yes, everyday for 3 months – 90 days – 2160hr – 129600min.
Scary? Crazy? I think so too, especially if it is for something that many perceived as facade.
Well, this idea spun off when I was coaching PR over the Jun hols. As I was coaching, I recognised that for my students, it’s only like 3 months off to O levels. If they can outlast this period with consistency and persistency, they will get their As. We all have goals. For my students, it’s to get that A1. For me, well, to live my best life. So I decided that if the consistency and persistency can bring me to a goal, let me put that into action to demostrated that. Even if the goals are different, the support structure to push through the journey is the same – desire, determination, and dogged work (yes, hard work). No one says that we can’t reach our goals. The key is, do you have what it takes?
So while my students set their goals to get their As, I set a goal to achieve my best physical wellness.
I know it’s not been easy, and there bound to be ups and downs moments while we’re pursuing towards our goals. Let’s recognise that and continue to push on! Key is, PERSIST! Bring out the desire and start the ball rolling. When it does, things will flow. Be strong.

Persistence isn’t using the same tactics over and over. That’s just annoying. Persistence is having the same goal over and over. – Seth Godin
