Die Die must do, Don’t Do Die!

Today I went for a workshop & the trainer shared something with us that is really simple yet impactful…. we were discussing the strategy of problem-solving & one of the steps is Brainstorming & we had this little conversation….

Have you ever heard people say that “Die Die must do” something & that “If Don’t Do, Die!”? To translation this in English, we probably hear a lot of people say “No choice” whenever they do something that they don’t want……

Why is it that there is “No Choice”? Or only 2 choices in this case? which is either “die die must do” or “don’t do die!”?
Could we…
(do it another day?)
(don’t do, but still survive?)
(ask someone to do?)
(just say no?)
(prioritise what I need to do first?)

Two lessons from this little conversation….
firstly, take responsibility, when I said “No Choice”, i am pushing the responsibility to someone else, instead I should take responsibility & decide whether I want to do or not.
secondly, whenever I think that I have “No Choice”, open my mind to think more creatively, there are many other ways that we can do things & it is all really upto me.
