Another Story that happened in China…

Long time ago in the Southern Part of China, there lived a poultry farmer. One day, the farmer discovered a newly hatched baby eagle and took it home to rear together with his chicks. The eagle was bred in the environment of the chicks and soon did what the other chicks, who had become hens and roosters, were doing. Because of this, the eagle became a chicken (no punt intended) and could not soar in the skies like the other eagles.

(At this point of them, many of you will be saying: Hey! I heard of this story before! But read on as it’s not the end yet)

One day, the farmer decided to train the eagle to fly. No matter how he trained, the eagle still could not fly. Out of frustration, he threw the eagle off the peak of the mountain that they were training. The eagle panicked as it dived towards the bottom of the mountain, and suddenly, it flew.

What’s the moral of the story?
We have lots of potential in us, and because we are too comfortable, we are not able to unleash this potential. Stress is in fact the best ingredient and catalyst for us to unleash that potential. Think of all the amazing feats that people do under tremendous stress!
