It’s been a grand trend in the working world to have Work Life balance. In the phrase itself, there already exist an imbalance. Firstly, there is a hidden meaning that work comes before life…otherwise, why doesn’t anyone say “Life Work Balance” (can be a mouthful yar?) ?
Anyhow, today, I had a renewed comprehension on this phrase. When one says work-life balance, it’s already seeing work and life as two separate entities, a duality (one or the other). Henceforth, there’ll always exist a high possibility of imbalance. Take for example, I have a scale, and I need to put work and life, two intangible variables on each side of the scale – what is the possibility of attaining a balance? Minimal. The scale will always tend to one side.
Now, what if one sees Life and Work as one? That offers a different equation. A shift in paradigm. There’s no more separation. That probably cuts off the internal battle of which is more or less. Rather, this perspective offers me clarity on a whole, that all actions that I take, regardless of time and space I am in, are to be geared towards building a grander Today.
Towards LWIOFREK (work life integration), a new phrase, a new phase

Cool! I like the idea of a new phrase. Perhaps we can come up with something more readable though and use it as a new workshop!
