A Level Economics
A Level Economics
After graduating from Raffles’ Girls School and later Hwachong Junior College, Ruth continued to pursue her interest in Economics in NUS and graduated with Bachelor of Arts & Social Sciences Degree, majoring in Economics.
She started giving private tuition in the subject of A-level Economics since she was an undergraduate. With more than 15 years of experience in coaching of Economics, she is well-versed in the syllabus of H1/H2 for A Levels Economics.
With a wealth of experience as an Econs tutor and ability to break down complex Economic Concepts into simple ideas that students can understand, she is highly sought after by students from different Junior Colleges, many of whom are from Raffles Junior College, Hwa Chong Junior College and Victoria Junior College. It is not uncommon for her students to improve from U to A within a short period of 1-2 months.
Ruth is not just an Economics Tutor. Her personal belief: “Nothing is too difficult! It’s a matter of breaking it down into simpler ways of understanding a topic. I desire for my students to have “instant learning” and not “accelerated learning”. She believes that as long as her student has the desire, she is 100% committed to him/her to see that he/she achieves an A!
Meet Ruth and find out why she wants to work with you to score A!
Before joining Advocators, I was very consistent in scoring a U grade for every economics test and examination. However, this trend took a spin when I was introduced to Ruth after my Senior High 2 common test: She made economics concepts easy to absorb, and her lessons were never dry. With the intensive rigour and her insurmountable dedication to her students, she has definitely made me strive to achieve the A grade which I thought was impossible during the earlier part of Senior High 2. Shockingly, I jumped from being 2nd percentile in the school to being 60th percentile, and I got my A grade for the A Level Economics paper! #aiseasywithadvocators!
It’s hardly believable to have a grade jump from an “E” to an “A”, but Ruth changed my results in only one short month! Being a great strategist herself, she would often offer students invaluable tips that allow them to apply economic theories effectively in their answers. By doing so, students feel that examinations aren’t so difficult anymore. With her, Economics doesn’t really feel daunting anymore! Thank you, Ruth, for believing in me and helping me to see my “A”!
